  • Sheet Masks The Nook Trials { Face Mask Face Off }

    This week I joined Melanie from Melanie’s Nook for her weekly trials where she puts 5 to 6 items against each other. You can catch up with her previous trials on the instagram stories as well as this week’s Sheet Mask Trials. We shared our thoughts on one sheet mask each day during the week and I’ve decided to do a roundup post here on the blog. The New Neutrogena Hydro Boost Mask Also called the super hydrator, hydrogel recovery mask. Wow what a mouth full. The mask is packed full of hyaluronic acid and uses a hydrogel cooling technology…

    Chutney & Mayo Chicken

    I’m back with a super easy recipe for chicken. This recipe is probably a favourite in a lot of South African homes and may vary slightly from home to home but it’s just too good not to share! How I keep my eczema under control

    About a year ago I had the worse eczema flareup under under my breast that I’ve ever had. It also being under my breast and the perspiration not evaporating as it would anyplace else, the patch stayed moist all the time. Before this I was also no stranger to eczema but getting such a large patch on my body was new to me. I was used to getting it in my eyebrows, ears, scalp…

    Period.

    Today I’m going to touch down on a topic that still seems to be a bit “taboo”. Periods. Yes, you guys read right, periods. And I’m not talking about the ones that you put at the end of your sentences.  It’s 2019! Now I’m not only talking to the ladies. The days where men are so embarrassed about a woman’s period that they won’t even walk past the sanitary products at the supermarket should end. I really hope that the ladies reading here has male partners that will video call them from the pad isle. A friend of mine’s hubby…

    A re-brand and Inspiration

    Recently, without making an announcement I re-branded my entire online presence. I decided it was time for a change. I painted my room, got new sheets and it made me feel good! That just inspired me to do the same for my blog. I wasn’t seeing as much growth as I would want and I also felt a bit stuck. A re-brand was just what life ordered because I feel excited about my blog again. I’ve already seen growth on my social media platforms and as they say, a change is as good as a holiday. Social Media My social…
