I love traveling, in and out the boarders of South Africa. Museums aren’t my thing unless they are out of the ordinary. Sight seeing and getting lost is the best way to see and experience a brand new place.

    {Local Travel} Johannesburg Botanical Gardens

Good day lovelies. It’s been a while since I posted a travel related post. The past weekend I got the chance to explore Johannesburg a little bit thanx to Marius. He’s an avid Pokemon Go player and is always looking for new playing ground. We went to the Johannesburg Botanical Gardens and spent the afternoon walking around taking photos and catching Pokemon of course. Little Ducks Shortly after we arrived I spotted cute little ducklings, the mother duck wasn’t too impressed with me getting closer and called them all. That didn’t stop met from getting some shots. This is about…

Living in the Garden Route – My Wilderness

Happy Monday lovelies. I apologize for the lack of posts the last couple of weeks. My life is still upside down (if you missed my previous post you can read it here) I’m currently staying with at my brother’s till my flight on the 5th of August and the lack of having a little space with my things doesn’t help the writing muse visit. Today I’m going to share you some of my favourite things about Wilderness, the place I called home for nearly three years. My Wilderness As the time creeps closer for my flight to Johannesburg I’ve been…

    {Travel Diaries} It was a Winter Wonderland

Good day travel bugs! I hope everyone had a great weekend and that you are ready to take the week like you already won. Today I’m sharing some photos from my last trip to the Netherlands when it turned into a Winter Wonderland. With it being really cold now in South Africa I thought it’s the perfect time to share. I was so excited to go to the Netherlands during winter because I mean, snow! I was hoping for a white Christmas and the snow kept popping up in the weather predictions but then nothing. First Signs of the Winter…

    Travel Buddies from IVO Health

Happy Monday lovelies. I hope you all had a great long weekend and that tons of fun was involved. This post is another one that is a tad overdue but rather late than never right? IVO Health sent over some great homeopathic travel buddies before my trip to the Netherlands and today I’m sharing them with you.   No-Jet-Lag What is Jet-Lag? Jet-Lag is a temporary sleep disorder. It happens when the body’s internal clock is out of sync with cues from a new time zone. Cues can include light exposure and eating times. Fatigue and difficulty concentrating are symptoms. I’ve…

{Travel Diaries} To the Philippines, But not as a Tourist!

A couple of years ago I got invited by my in-laws to join them in the Philippines to celebrate my husband’s grandmother’s 80th birthday. I was really excited and a bit nervous about the trip. My hubby laid down a long list of don’ts that didn’t really help for the nerves. In the end it’s the don’ts he didn’t tell me about that had “my panties in a twist” We didn’t travel there as tourists as most of the family was born in the Philippines but I would love to go back and experience it as a vacation goer. Upon Arrival…

{Travel Diaries} My Ice Cream Melted in Belgium

Good day lovelies! Today I’m taking myself back to my day trip visit to Belgium. I was most excited for the chocolate for obvious reasons. Big was my surprise by all the other gems I discovered. We stopped over in Antwerpen and Brugge, the drive there from the Netherlands wasn’t so long, perhaps about 2 hours. Antwerpen Our first stop,  Antwerpen, we strolled around when I spotted a Disney store! It was magical and I never wanted to leave. We also stumbled upon an amazing chocolate store where you could watch the chocolatiers creating edible masterpieces. Belgium is big on champagne…

Hand Luggage Essentials For Long Haul Flights

Hi lovelies! I hope everyone is doing great. Today I will be sharing my hand luggage essentials on long haul flights. Since I got married 5 years ago I have traveled abroad a couple of times and each time I discover something else that I just need in my hand luggage. If I need to narrow that list down these are the items that make it to the top. An Empty Water Bottle Flying for long hauls really dehydrates you and bringing your own empty bottle just makes it so much easier. I always ask for my bottle to get…
