Good day lovelies! The past couple of months I’ve seen Milani products pop up all over social media and it had me a little curious. I am not the biggest fan to import makeup as it often turns into some drama so when I saw Milani is now available locally at affordable prices I hopped on the Milani wagon and placed an order.
There is currently a great combo available for R175, this includes a Even Touch Powder Foundation and a Color Statement Lipstick. They also offered free shipping for the month of August (if you hurry you can still make use if this!)
The ordering process went without any hiccups. I ordered over a weekend and had my parcel safe and sound in perfect condition by Wednesday. The Milani customer service is excellent as well.
Milani Even Touch Powder Foundation
What Milani Says: The makeup equivalent of soft-focus lighting, this medium-to-full coverage powder has a hidden agenda—it conceals your imperfections to reveal an enviable complexion. Even-Touch Powder Foundation is highly blendable and can be used as both a setting powder and a quick touch-up throughout the day.
What I Say: I am not very big on foundations. I’ve been blessed with fairly great skin and don’t need much coverage. I’ve always opted for BB and CC creams and only recently started experimenting with foundations. For me the big deal is that I don’t want to feel something sitting on my face. So far most foundations I’ve tried annoys me halfway through the day as I can feel it sitting there sinking into my pores.
The Milani Even Touch Powder Foundation is exactly the opposite, it offers medium to full coverage (it is buildable) and is lightweight on my skin. To say I’m totally smitten doesn’t even justify how much I adore this foundation. My skin also feels silky smooth to the touch.
I’ve been using this foundation without a primer and it minimizes my pores and gives me skin a silky finish. The coverage is between medium and full. I just set it with a setting spray and I’m good to go for the entire day.
Packaging & Pricing
I really love the outer packaging, you can flip it open to see the shade without touching the actual product. There is nothing worse than getting something that someone else had their fingers in. The compact with the foundation is really sleek. When you open it you can lift the powder to find an applicator sponge at the bottom. I like that that the bottom has tiny holes allowing your sponge to air.
The foundation is available in 9 different shades for R125 each over here
Milanie Color Statement Lipstick
What Milani Says: Milani knows that the best way to make an entrance is by making a statement—in walks Color Statement Lipstick in vibrant colors ranging from pretty pinks to radiant reds.
What I Say: I have so many lipsticks and I still can’t stop buying them! Most of my lipstick shades are pinky, reds and purples so this time I wanted to go different and ordered a nude shade. Bahama Beige was just what I needed. It’s such a versatile shade and it can work with so many different makeup looks and colour schemes. The formula is very moisturizing and glides on easily. I have a perfect pout in no time. As this isn’t a long wear lipstick re-application is required during the day.
Packaging and Pricing
The lipstick comes in a square shaped bullet reflecting the shade in the bottom. These are very reasonably priced at R100 each and comes in 6 different shades which you can view over here.
