If you are a regular reader of my blog you would know that I recently moved from Wilderness to Dana Bay shortly after I returned from my vacation in the Netherlands. I hate moving, who doesn’t? I truly thought that was it for now. But here is how my life got flipped-turned upside down.
Things got really uncomfortable with the “landlord” about one month in (Whenever I use that word I think of one of those slum lords from the movies that knocks on your door for your rent money) It got so bad that both myself and my mom just couldn’t take it any longer. I won’t go into much detail about it. Basically even tho it was stipulated in the contract that we can have our pets there they started having issues. We even got threatened that the SPCA is going to come and take one. I’m very protective over our dogs.Designed by Freepik
Within a week after the last straw we had my mom packed and moved her and all the fur children to my brother’s. He lives in a farm house on a nice big plot with plenty of space for the dogs to run and play. That left us with me. Where do I go? You guys are probably all thinking, why is she still living with her mom? I’m very close with my mom and after my dad passed away we’ve always looked out for each other.
Que my angel of a friend. She offered this a while ago and suggested that I can come live with her and her husband in Johannesburg. They have some extra room and they can help me get on my feet there. I am truly grateful for their generosity. I’m arriving in Johannesburg on the 5th of August and for the first time ever I will be a “city girl”
So from here on out I’m going to just look ahead and embrace the change in my life. The nerves and uncertainty has set in a bit but I keep telling myself things always work out. At the moment I’m de-cluttering and getting rid of so many products I’ve hoarded but never use. I’ve also had my first pre-interview with a recruitment company for a job, just being on the radar already gave me a positive boost.
Johannesburg, see you soon!
