Hi all my lovelies! Today’s post is going to be a very long explanation of why I’ve been so quiet on the blog and why my last post has been nearly a month ago. Believe me it’s not due to a lack of me having things to say. Life is a theme park and how much fun would it be if you don’t go on the rollercoasters right?!
I’ve been back in South Africa for two and a half weeks and I haven’t had time to really sit down and let life catch up with me. As most of you know I live in Wilderness and three weeks before I was to return to South Africa from the Netherlands I found out that the house we’ve been renting got sold and we have to move out by the end of April. Being in the Netherlands and not being able to help look for a new place to live was the most helpless I’ve felt in a very long time. I was stuck looking online and if you’ve ever searched for a pet-friendly rental you would know the frustration, and each time I see a place that sounds great I read – NO PETS – my heart just sank.
Luckily we managed to sort out a place to stay but that means we are moving towns, yet again, and I was dropped feet first back into reality surrounded by many, many boxes. We will be re-locating to Danabay, 45 minutes drive from where we are now over the next 3 weeks. I’m taking advantage of this to freshen up many of my bedroom furniture pieces with some paint and decluttering my makeup and clothes. By the end of April, things should be moderately back to normal and I will be back to blogging at full force.
While dealing with the move I’ve also had to get used to being without my husband again and sleeping alone. Keeping busy seems to help a lot with the longing. I missed him a lot on Tuesday though when I was struck down by food poisoning!
In the meantime I am going to be publishing some posts but not as frequently as I would like to. If you’d like to keep up with what I’m getting up too you can follow me on instagram (withelizabethh) and snapchat (piecesinpink)Designed by Freepik
