Good day lovelies, today I’m going to share with you some wonderful new bath goodies from rain. If you are a regular reader of my blog you will know that Rain is one of my favourite brands and this is why – All their products are made from natural ingredients, they do not test on animals, they create jobs for those less fortunate and they are a part of fair trade farming, so what is not to love?
Rain surprised me with a gorgeous box of their new butterballs shortly before I left for my trip to the Netherlands, all I had to do to calm myself from the travel jitters was to open the box and just take in the scent!
Butterfly Pea Butterball
Ssshh… be still and listen… you may hear the butterflies whisper.
What Rain says: “Your skin will enjoy the plant butters extracted from the seeds of the cocao and shea nuts. Expressed coconut oil is also present to luxuriantly nourish your dry skin. The water will carry the exotic scent of Butterfly pea flowers carried from the Opium Triangle”
What I say: I have not yet used this butterball yet but looking at the ingredients and giving it a whiff this butterball just screams luxury, the butterfly pea smells really sweet yet subtle, I can’t wait to try it!
Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric Acid, Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Butter, Caprylic/
Capric Triglyceride, Parfum (Fragrance), Butyrospermum parkii (Shea) Butter, Clitoria ternatea (Butterfly Pea) Powder and Flower.
Cleopatra’s Gold and Milk Bath Butterball
There are never enough hours in the day of a queen…
What Rain says: “Candle light may be added if desired when you bathe in this rice and coconut milk bath with gold leaf .Of course, for extra luxury, we have been driven to add cocoa butter and the rich nourishing shea butter as we imagine only royalty would deserve”
What I say: I spotted this butterball at my favourite Rain store in the Garden Route Mall just after they were released, I couldn’t resist and purchased one. I popped it in my bath water and as it fizzed away a very soft powdery scent filled the bathroom. I soaked away in milky luxury and my skin was left silky smooth and soft. The gold leaf left a subtle shimmer and I truly felt like an Egyptian princess after my soak.

Bed of Roses Butterball
who looks outside, dreams… who looks inside, awakens
What Rain says: “We invite you to soak in a “bed” of roses. The very best and most perfumed of the roses from Pushkar in Rajasthan will scent your body. Oils from c oconuts and shea nuts and from the rich butter of cocoa tree nuts will delicately soften your skin. The indulgence is decadent and sublime”
What I say: If this butterball is anything like the rose scented bath bombs available at Rain I just know I will love it. Being larger than the round shaped butterballs this promises a little extra love for my skin so extra soak time is in order. I love when there are little pieces of flowers floating around in my bath water and the rose scent smells divine.

Take some more tea, the march hare said to Alice…
What Rain Says: “We have brewed and exotic eastern tea from Tesu Flowers. To which we have added a sweet orange oil in the manner not dissimilar to Earl Grey. The partaking of afternoon tea has been known to calm nerves and bring about an orderliness in the face of calamity”
What I say: This is a very different scent to what I usually get from rain but I do love a citrus scent so I can’t wait to fill my bath water and bathroom with the scent and goodness of this butterball for a good soak!

I would like to say a huge thank you to Ilona from Ilonique and Nisa from Belle Blushh for the gorgeous product pictures, I didn’t have any time to take pictures of the products before I left and these 2 special ladies stepped in and helped me out. I had to leave the butterballs in South Africa as here isn’t a bathtub for me to use in the Netherlands. I know, I know, the agony! But as soon as I’m back you all know what I will be up too!
