Gosh 9 Shades { to enjoy in New York } Review + Swatches

A couple of weeks ago I popped into Edgars to see if they received more stock of the Forever Eyeshadow – you can read my review on it here – and to my disappointed they haven’t, but, there is always a but, as I was looking around I saw the sales lady was busy stocking some new Gosh goodies that just arrived in store and those included the Gosh 9 shades palettes, I swatched them from the testers and quickly fell in love with the shades from enjoy in New York. The best part of it all is that GOSH cosmetics doesn’t test on animals!

Gosh 9 Shades New York Palette Packaging

9 Shades is 3 eye shadow palettes each featuring nine shades of stunning colours to create endless looks inspired by the bright lights of big cities – To enjoy in New York, To have fun with in LA and To play with in Vegas. The next one I’d like to get is the 9 Shades to have fun with in LA palette, so that one is going on my birthday wish list!

Gosh 9 Shades New York Palette 2

I love that this palette comes in a box, it makes it look just that much more luxurious. The palette packaging is plain black with the Gosh Logo edged into the lid, it looks really sleek. I find it a little bit hard to open so I use my tweezer to pop it open for the fear of breaking my flimsy nails. The palette has a magnifying mirror inside which I thought was a nice plus for the girl on the go and I’ve actually used it a couple of times.

The palette has 3 shimmer and 6 matte shades, whites, rose gold, purples and browns, they are all gorgeously pigmented and they just glide on like butter and blend like a dream. I didn’t notice a lot of shadow fallout when I applied these gorgeous shades and I didn’t experience the eyeshadow creasing. The shadows stay beautifully were I applied them for a good couple of hours. The shadows are easily removed with some makeup remover.

If you are a regular reader of my blog you would know that I wear contact lenses, I didn’t find this eyeshadow annoying and sticking to my lenses, so even tho the product isn’t hypoallergenic I am still able to enjoy it while using my contacts.

Because the shades don’t have names I just swatched from left to right, top row, middle row and bottom row, as you can see the shades are all gorgeous.

I like the one you got the most of the three. Looks like a lovely palette and perfect balance between shimmery and matte shades. How much do these retail for?

Hi hun, it’s an old bad habit of mine to forget to include the RSP it’s R201 from Edgars 🙂 I think if you have the New York one you can mix it with the LA one, I won’t use that one on its own, the Las Vegas one has only Neon shades, a bit hectic for me xx
