    #LoveYourSkin ~ Get into a routine

The first step of getting gorgeous looking glowing skin is to get into a skincare routine and sticking to it! It’s taken me a long time to actually have a skincare routine stick and I still slip up at night sometimes on no makeup days, but I am proud to say that I don’t go to bed anymore with makeup on my face! Get into a routine

    Get into a routine

    Wash your face before bed.
Make sure that you never go to bed before you removed all makeup from your face, sleeping with makeup on clogs your pores and also rubs off on your pillow.  If you used product like gel and hairspray in your hair make sure you wash it before you go to bed, this can also rub off on your pillow and then get onto your skin.

Rinsing your face with water instead of wiping with a facecloth can also count in your favour and make sure you removed all soap residue. Patting your skin dry over rubbing with a towel is another thumbs up!

    Use a toner.
A toner removes excess dirt and oils from your skin and helps tighten your pores and prepares your skin to absorb your moisturizer.

    Moisturize.
Smooth a moisturizer over your skin day and night, a light moisturizer for daytime and a heavier one for night time works great. If you feel you need some extra help invest in a serum and don’t forget that eye cream for the sensitive skin around your eyes.

Exfoliate and use a face mask
Exfoliation helps you to get rid of dead skin sells and encourages your skin to form new healthy skin cells, you should do this once a week. A face mask can give your skin that little bit of extra help if you use one suited to your skin type, use one once or twice a week.

Most important – Use an SPF.
You can invest in a good moisturizer that has an SPF or get a BB or CC cream that contains an SPF, the sun is your skin’s biggest enemy. Watch this video below and you will be convinced to use a sunscreen.

The above steps don’t only apply to your face, you can get your entire body summer ready and glowing by just adding a weekly body scrub and  by moisturizing your skin twice a day. Even adding some oil to your bathwater can give you a little boost.
